Consultant Neuro-otologist

He qualified from King’s College Hospital, London and did his post-graduate training in London and Manchester. When appointed as an NHS Consultant, he obtained £320,000 from the then NHS Modernisation Agency, assembled a team and set up and ran an NHS Tertiary Balance / Neuro-otology Centre, which became widely recognised as a Centre of Excellence in the management of balance, hearing and tinnitus disorders – and especially balance disorders – receiving referrals from across the United Kingdom.

He and his team left the NHS in March 2021 and now focus their considerable expertise and experience in delivering an exceptional service for the treatment of balance, hearing and tinnitus disorders from their private practice base in Central London, The London Neuro-otology Centre as well as from the Spire Alexandra and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals, Kent and the BMI Blackheath Hospital, London.

He continues to receive referrals from across the UK and around the world and divides his time between his clinical and medico-legal practices, research and education / teaching.

Nicola Harris

Specialist Vestibular Physiotherapist

Nicola is one of the leading providers of vestibular rehabilitation in the United Kingdom. She trained and qualified at St Mary’s Hospital, London and spent 10 years working in rehabilitation at several leading London teaching hospitals including St Thomas’ and Royal Free and completed a post-graduate diploma in rehabilitation. She was one of the founding members of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists interest group, ACPIVA, for physiotherapists specializing in vestibular rehabilitation and is also registered with the Health Professional Council, is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

She was also part of the NHS tertiary Neuro-otology / Balance Centre team and therefore has enormous experience in the vestibular rehabilitation of complex balance patients referred from around the UK.

In 2003, she established a private vestibular physiotherapy practice in Central London and received referrals from Neurologists, Neuro-otologists, Audio-Vestibular Physicians, ENT Surgeons and GPs. She too left the NHS, along with the rest of the Neuro-otology / Balance Centre team in March 2021 and now works exclusively at The London Neuro-otology Centre where she divides her time between clinical and medico-legal work.

Alan Aaronson

Audiological Scientist and Tinnitus Treatment Consultant

Alan is one of London’s most experienced and highly qualified Audiological Scientists. He studied Audiological Science to Master Degree Level at UCL and has been in practice since 1998. Alan specialises in premium hearing aid technology, evidence-based tinnitus treatment and microsuction ear wax removal. Helping patient’s hear better is his passion and his aftercare service provision is second to none. He has always practiced as an independent audiologist – providing bespoke hearing and tinnitus solutions, hand-picked from the full range of premium manufacturers represented in the UK.  His patients visit him from all parts of the globe. In the UK his patients include those from the Royal Household, top TV celebrities, MPs and elite sportsmen. He has appeared as the BBC hearing & tinnitus expert on numerous radio shows. Alan founded the London Tinnitus Support Group (in 2014) with the British Tinnitus Association – a voluntary-led organisation supporting tinnitus sufferers. The group has helped provide significant relief for hundreds of tinnitus sufferers in London.  (HCPC registration No. HAD0001)

Elaine is a very experienced and able medical secretary who worked as part of the NHS Neuro-otology / Balance Centre Team before also leaving the NHS and working with the rest of the team at the London Neuro-otology Centre.

Naomi Anderson

Naomi has worked in the medical field for over 7 years, starting as a receptionist in the NHS. Before joining The London Neuro-Otology Centre, she was a Reception Manager in a large and busy NHS GP Surgery in North London.  She is very experienced in patient-facing customer service, always going the extra mile to help and support both her colleagues and the patients

Naomi comes from a solid medical sciences background, having studied for a BSc in Pharmacology and an MSc in Nutrition, both at King’s College, University of London.

In her spare time, Naomi does yoga and likes to take on various creative projects.
